Job 1: 1-22
Isn’t it amazing how God will pick you? He knows exactly what you can handle. He knows exactly what you can take, amen? God mentioned Job’s name as being upright and perfect; as fearing the Lord and avoiding evil. It appears that God was boasting on his servant Job. The bible lets us know that God blessed Job both naturally and spiritually. He was a worshiper who arrested Gods’ attention. But Job was noticed by Satan as well.
How many of us will admit that when God called our name all hell broke loose?
In private, out of the public eye -how many of us will admit to having asked the Lord to stop calling our name? I know that this is a hard word, but it is the heart of God in this season to his people, a reminder of his faithfulness and loving-kindness. It is the reality of those who have been through a little something. Religion forces us to put on a act but it is time for the church to be real and transparent.
When the enemy hit Job and all that he owned, Job privately 1) arose 2) rent his garment 3) shaved his head (meaning the glory had departed) 4) fell on his face, and 5) worshiped. The bible does not reveal that Job ran to the people to convince them that he was alright. No, Job ran straightway to God as it was his everyday lifestyle to do. His friends came to where Job had already established his altar (Job 3:11)
In Job 1:22 it tells us that in all this, Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. Now here it is: what area of worship does the devil have to attack you in to shut your worship down? The Lord is saying on today : "most of the worship in public is to be seen and lacking in the power needed when I allow hell to hit home or on the job." God is preparing His church for a lifestyle of worship…..when nobody is looking. What do you do when there is no one to impress? Selah.
The bible lets us know that God mentioned Job’s name ….”Wow, have you seen my servant Job?” Listen, the devil can only go so far, he has been given limitations. ..In verse 12 God commands to Satan:” Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not thy hand”
In other words, you can hit my man in every area, but you can’t take his life! Some of you have gone through –but you haven’t lost your mind. God has served notice on the devil that he can’t touch your mind….he can’t touch your prayer life. God has served notice that he can’t touch your praise. Glory to God! The devil has been released in your life, but he has been given limitations. Go after God like a crazy person! Praise Him!
In fact store up some praise when things are going good…when your marriage is good, when your children are acting right, when you have good health. Have some praise to withdrawn from when the going gets rough! That will be the time and season to give Him some crazy praise!
When God brings up your name and the enemy is released in your life, WHAT YOU DO PRIVATELY God watches. He acknowledges faithfulness. Encourage yourself in the Lord. God has not stopped being good nor slack as men. He never leaves nor forsakes. God Almighty is boasting on you. The Lord is calling out your name. He is speaking throughout the universe:" take a look at my son and daughters." You are so blessed.
I pray this word encourages your heart and that you will be everything God has called you to be, even as he is preparing you through fire. Serve notice to the devil that what he meant for evil, God means it for your good.
If you have accepted the lies of the enemy Repent, turn and believe that God is still in control. Do not allow yourself to become blasphemous in the sight of the Lord. The bible let’s us know that Job was upright in Gods’ sight and in His Sovereignty, God lifted the hedge and allowed Job to become the target of Satan's envy and jealousy. God called Job’s name in His Sovereignty! - just as He is calling your name.
Beloved, Praise the Lord! Give Him all honor and glory for He is calling your name.
